Fire Station Tours
Children can view equipment, talk to firefighters and learn about fire safety.
Prepare for a visit
- Make sure you have enough chaperones.
- Discuss with children the importance of following firefighter instructions.
- Ensure students understand in the case of emergency, firefighters will have to leave the station even if a tour is in progress.
School Visits
Invite firefighters and EMTs to your classroom for a fire safety presentation on:
- Fire prevention
- What to do in case of a fire
- Firefighters are community helpers
- Equipment and gear
